Wonder Woman is returning!
Current DC-Studio’s Co-Chief, James Gunn, has confirmed that Diana Prince, Wonder Woman, will be joining us on the big screen again sooner than you think. The film is set to joined the new rebooted DC universe which arrives later this year with Superman.
Gunn has confirmed that even though the film has been greenlit its still no where near ready to begin production. He’s also confirmed the new film, being a complete new beginning for the character will see a new lead take the role of Diana Prince, meaning we won’t be seeing Gal Gadot step back into the boots.
Gunn has confirmed that his new DC Universe will feature many new characters that haven’t yet had their day in the sun, but will have four key characters as pillars across all projects. These key characters; Clark Kent’s – Superman, Bruce Wayne’s – Batman, Diana Prince’s – Wonder Woman, and Kara Danver’s – Supergirl and we may seem them together on screen sometime soon as well. Gunn said recently he has already planned a sequel to his upcoming Superman film, before correcting himself by saying “But is it a straight-up Superman sequel?… I would not say necessarily.” perhaps hinting at a new Justice League film or a partner up project with the main universe leads.
