The Southport Fire Brigade is celebrating the opening of their new fire station.
The station has replaced the single bay, 80m2 station which was constructed in 1992. It features two bays, meeting rooms, kitchen, radio room and storage in the 204m2 space.
TFS Chief Officer Dermot Barry said “I hope the Southport community can be proud of this new station which will help to ensure our local brigade is able to support and protect the community, now and into the future”.
“The development of services and support in smaller communities is instrumental in the protection and fight against fires”.
