The Susan Neill-Fraser story is not over in the minds of her supporters who have rallied in Hobart.
They are pursuing her name being cleared for the 2009 murder of her partner Bob Chappell.
Neill-Fraser served 13 years in prison, then was paroled in October.
Supporter Rosie Crumpton-Crook addressed a crowd on the parliament lawns in Hobart.
“Bob’s loved partner of 18 years, Sue Neill-Fraser has been wrongly convicted of the crime, we seek justice for Bob and for Sue.”
Greg Barns from the Prisoners Legal Service wants changes to rules that currently gag those on parole from publicly discussing their case.
“Ensuring that what they say is respectful, but strong advocacy that they ought to be able to put their case to the community.”
Former Premier Lara Giddings advocates the case being thoroughly investigated independently.
“It is time that we open our justice system up, if there is nothing to hide then no one should be concerned about a Commission of Inquiry.”
