An elderly man who was hit by a car in a pedestrian crash in Launceston on Friday has died in hospital.
The 74-year-old was on Invermay Road at Invermay when he was struck by a Mercedes sedan.
Officers on patrol witnessed the incident and provided first aid until an ambulance arrived.

The driver cooperated with police at the scene, including submitting to alcohol and drug testing.
Police say the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
