Launceston City Council to 'Open Streets' after Christmas Parade this Saturday

Saturday will see the debut of the Launceston City Council’s ‘Open Streets” initiative.

The initiative will keep St John Street and The Avenue closed after the annual Christmas Parade, so people can enjoy the city's streetscape without the worry of traffic.

Listen as Launceston Mayor, Albert Van Zetten, joins Fairy to talk about ‘Open Streets’, as well as the first leg of the Spirit of Tasmania Cycling Tour which kicks off tomorrow.
