Launceston stabbing

A man in Launceston is in hospital with serious stab wounds to the stomach.

At around 7.45pm last night the man in his 30's was found badly injured on the Tasman Highway at Waverly in Launceston's East.

It is believed he had been in a confrontation with two men who were seen leaving the scene in a green Commodore, registration DL8100.

The victim's condition in the Launceston General Hospital is serious but stable.
