Tas COVID toll rises to 56
A man in his 70s has died with COVID-19 at the Royal Hobart Hospital, taking the state's pandemic toll to 56.
1078 new cases have been recorded, a slight decrease on yesterday.
There are 50 COVID-positive patients in Tasmanian hospitals, 24 of those being treated specifically for the virus.
Two people are being treated in intensive care, that number unchanged for a few days.
The number of active infections around the state has reduced slightly to 6216.
