Devonport man wins big
A Devonport man says he's going to build himself a motorbike track after pocketing $2.5 million in Saturday's TattsLotto draw.
His winning ticket was one of four Division One winning entries across Australia.
It was purchased from Waterfront News & Lotto on Best Street, the second time the North West newsagent has sold a multi-million dollar winning ticket in under a year.
“I’ve always said that if I won the lottery, I would build myself a motorcycle track,” the winner explained to an official from The Lott on Monday.
“So that’s what I am going to do! And if I am going to build myself a motorcycle track, then I need to get a new bike too.”
““When I found out we’d sold the ticket, I probably shook the roof with all of my cheering! I had a smile from ear to ear, " newsagency co-owner Rod Hurley said.
"We’ve been sharing the news with our customers and they are all so excited. It’s the talk of the town,"
“It gives us and the team a huge buzz to play a part in such a life-changing event."
