Police charge man after gun fired in public
A 35-year-old East Devonport man has been charged with a number of firearm offences, after a gun was allegedly fired in public.
Police received reports of a shooting at Canning Drive in East Devonport on Tuesday afternoon.
Witnesses told them a man had gotten out of a car, before shooting at the same vehicle a short time later.
No-one was injured.
Police arrested the man at a nearby property, where they found a sawn off shotgun, and a small amount of drugs.
He was due to face court on Wednesday.
