Ute driver sought after child attack

A child's recovering from non-life-threatening injuries after being attacked at a northwest Tasmanian campground on Sunday afternoon.

Police are yet to release a description of the occupant of a single-cab Mazda flat tray ute. 

The driver is wanted for questioning over the incident at the Montagu campground near Smithton and there's no word on any possible whereabouts. 

The white-over-silver-coloured 2008 model has a Queensland registration: 317 XNR.
