Canine coronavirus suspicions

More reports of canine coronavirus are surfacing in Tasmania.

It should be made clear, the coronavirus in dogs has nothing to do with the pandemic and is not transmissible to humans.

Cases were becoming apparent in the state's greyhound industry leading to a quarantine of three properties in the south and one in the north early this month.

Clarence City Council has acknowledged the South Street Dog Park in Bellerive could be harbouring canine coronavirus.

On social media, there are suggestions it is potentially widespread across Greater Hobart, with references to Kingston View, Kingston Beach, and Lenah Valley's John Turnbull Dog Park
