Recovery after mine tragedy
A recovery team has retrieved the body of deceased miner Cameron Goss, nearly a month after he died in a rockfall at the Henty Gold Mine.
Mr Goss has been missing presumed deceased since January 23 when the earth collapsed in the section of mine he was working in.
Police say his body was recovered by the mine’s Emergency Response Team with the assistance of other mining experts from the West Coast and ERT teams from across the country.
"Our thoughts remain with Mr Goss’ family, friends and colleagues," said police in a statement.
"The incident will be investigated and a report prepared for the Coroner."
Limited mining has resumed at Henty in the wake of the tragedy.
