Another possible Tasmanian coronavirus case
Another suspected case of coronavirus is being tested in Tasmania.
Just days after a man who'd returned from China ill was cleared of the deadly disease, a woman in her 20s is undergoing tests at Launceston General Hospital.
Director of Public Health Mark Veitch says she's reported feeling unwell after recent travel from China.
While coronavirus isn't strongly suspected, authorities are taking a precautionary approach and she's been admitted to hospital.
Five people have been confirmed infected on the mainland.
Meantime, Tasmania's Education Minister Jeremy Rockliff is yet to respond to conflicting stances from his interstate counterparts on how schools should respond to the outbreak.
His NSW counterpart has asked students who've been to China recently to stay home, while other jurisdictions are taking a less hardline stance.
Federal Education Minister Dan Tehan hasn't imposed any measures.
"We will change the advice when it comes to schools, when it comes to childcare centres, when it comes to universities if they (public health authorities) advise us that is the right thing to do," he said.
"We can't act on whims here; we have to act on the best available information which is provided to us."
