Drive-by shooting

The latest in a series of drive-by shootings in the state's north has police on high alert.

Around 11:30 last night, detectives were called to Chifley Street in Kings Meadows, due to reports of multiple shots being fired into an unoccupied house.

It's thought the offenders fled the scene in a dark coloured sedan.

Only a month ago there was a drive-by shooting on a house in Longford and a month before that, reports of gunfire in Invermay which involved a trio of vehicles - although there were no injuries in any of the incidents.
