Legana Community Carols
Where: 1 Gerrard Close, Legana
When: Friday, 15th December from 7:30pm
Details: Join with hundreds and hundreds of people from around Legana community, as we come together to celebrate Christmas with the Legana Community Carols By (Electric) Candle Light! This year’s event features guest artist, Matthew Garwood. Admission is free. There will be free refreshments to follow along with a twilight craft market (opens at 6:30PM).

Launceston Harvest Market
Where: Cimitiere Street Carpark, 71 Cimitiere Street, Launceston
When: Every Saturday from 8:30am-12:30pm
Details: Harvest Market brightens a quiet inner-city car park and brings the farm gate to you. Meet the farmers, connect with locals and feast your eyes on Tasmania’s freshest seasonal produce, ethical meat and fish, local dairy, artisan bread and pastries, Fruit and Vegetables. Try the locally roasted coffee and taste your way around our foodie State at this vibrant weekly event before collecting a myriad of premium produce, cool-climate wines, artisan ciders and home-made preserves.

Scottsdale Market
Where: Mechanics Hall, King Street, Scottsdale
When: Saturday, 16th December from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Details: This market will be held in the Mechanics Hall, King Street, Scottsdale. There will be a variety of stalls to browse, including cooking, preserves, bric-a-brac, books, giftware, fishing gear and woodwork, just to name a few!

Westbury Market
Where: Lonsdale Promenade, opposite the Village Green, Westbury 
When: Recurring: 3rd Saturday of every month - 9am until 1pm. 
Details: Fresh Vegetables, Cakes, Biscuits, Jams, Pickles, Relishes. Plants, books galore, picture postcards, jewellery, haberdashery, bric a brac, something for everyone. Come along and enjoy browsing the stalls while enjoying the open fire to keep warm.
Weather permitting BBQ as well as a wonderful array of sandwiches, and delicacies available along with soup and tea and coffee from the cafe in the hall.
Goods are sold on commission and more stall holders always welcome. Proceeds to the Anglican Parish of Quamby.

Launceston Parkrun
Where: The run starts behind Aurora Stadium, Inveresk
When: Every Saturday at 9:00am
Details: Launceston parkrun is a free to enter timed 5km run, held every Saturday at 9am. Organised and run by a team of volunteers, this event is designed for those who love to run or walk. The course is run around the beautiful Heritage Forest.

Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway 
Where: East Street, Carrick, Tasmania
When: Saturday, 16th December from 5:00pm – 11:00pm
Details: Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway prides itself on being a family friendly track, with not only a dedicated Kids Club but family friendly pricing and activities. We encourage patron participation during a race meeting from wining a ride in the pace car, chatting with the commentators as they roam the facility to helping draw balls for grid draws.
Gates open at 2 pm. Racing from 5 pm.

Evandale Sunday Market
Where: Falls Park, on Logan Road, Evandale 
When: Every Sunday from around 8:00am until around 1:30pm.
Details: Evandale hosts a regular country market. There's a great variety of stalls, including fantastic local produce, second-hand books, food vans, general bric-a-brac and local crafts. There are also rides for the kids, including the Evandale Light Rail and pony rides.

Designer Market at Penny Royal

Launceston Esk Market at Inveresk
Where: Launceston Showgrounds, Forster Street, Launceston
When: Every Sunday from 9:00am-2:00pm
Details: The Launceston Esk Market has a range of products on offer including refreshments, bric-a-brac, pre-loved items, clothing, books, tools, collectable tools, antique and craft items, knitting, sewing, beads, wooden and rustic furniture, novelties and toys. Avoid the hustle and bustle of the supermarkets and visit the market for the freshest and the best of local vegetables and seasonal fruits. Pick up some great bargains in a fun and friendly atmosphere. The market has over 150 stalls all of which are undercover.

Ross Market

Tasmanian Dog Training Classes

Details: We are a Non-Profit community minded volunteer organisation that provides dog training, education and a path to a variety of dog sport activities in Launceston Tasmania. We can assist you to get involved in training your dog or getting involved in dog sports such as Agility and Jumping, Obedience, Rally-O, Tracking and Endurance. We strictly believe in positive reinforcement for our training!

Rueda In the Square

Details: Let's dance Cuban salsa!
We dance 'Rueda de Casino' at Harvest Market every month and
We are practising it in Prince's Square.
Beginners are very welcome and no partner is required!
Come to dance or see us at Prince's Square (at the rotunda in City Park (not in Civic Square) if it rains)!
*Beginner Lesson: 10.30 am - 11.00 am

*Rueda Social: 11.00 am - 12.00 pm
(for beginners & experienced dancers)
Please come over before 10.30 am if you want to learn Rueda from the basic steps.

Rueda means "wheel" in Spanish
Rueda is a shorter name of "Rueda de Casino" which means
a wheel of Cuban salsa and a group of people dance
in a wheel (circle) with a number of moves.
It's fun to dance and watch and easy to learn.
What you do is follow what a caller says next.

Launceston Carols by Candlelight 2017
Where: City Park, 45-55 Tamar Street, Launceston
When: Sunday, 17th December Gates open at 5.00 for 7.00pm start.
Details: Proudly presented by the Rotary Club of Tamar Sunrise, Carols by Candlelight will be held on in Launceston's City Park. Bring your family and picnic rug along and get into the Christmas spirit.
A three-hour concert, featuring more than 40 Christmas songs and sing-along Carols, performed by a talented local line-up.
This family event is strictly alcohol and smoke free.
