Wallis Bird & The Twoks

Wallis Bird & The Twoks
Where: Mechanics' Institute Hall, Kings Street, Scottsdale
When: Sunday, 26th, November from 6:00pm
Details: WALLIS BIRD (Ireland)
Winner of two Irish Music Awards (Meteor award), Wallis Bird's expressive vocals and driving guitar rhythms have been taking audiences by storm in the UK, Europe, Australia and Japan. Every performance is characterised by a startling passion and presentness that frequently leaves Bird breathless and her guitar strings shredded. Her raw honesty, rascal humour, generosity of heart and extraordinary energy will leave you spellbound.
After a whirlwind tour in Oz at the start of 2017, Bird returns in Nov/Dec to perform at Mullum Music Festival plus east coast shows.
Don't miss this incredible artist.
The Twoks (Melbourne) are Xani Kolac (electric violin / vocals) and Mark Leahy (drums). The Melbourne-based duo have been making happy violin and drums dance music together for the past three and a bit year. Electric violin and drums combine to make something that is truly one of a kind.
Cost: Tickets: Available from Roses Newsagents, King Street Scottsdale. There's also a bus from Launceston to Scottsdale return on the evening for $20.
