It’s been just over a month since Just Cats Tasmania took over cat management in the state’s north, and already the not-for-profit shelter has reached capacity.
In just four weeks, Just Cats has taken in 200 felines, and though their shelter is currently full, they will still be accepting surrenders. However, they will use a waitlist and prioritise more critical cases.
Rachel Beech, founder and director of Just Cats Tasmania, joins Fairsy to discuss the situation.
If you would like to consider the possibility of adopting a cat or kitten into your family, head to PETstock in Invermay tomorrow from 10am-2pm.
