The Cancer Council's 5km walk/run is celebrating it's 10th year!
Join us in supporting the cancer council's mission to research, prevent, raise funds and create awareness for cancer. You can choose your own pace to walk or run the 5km course.
The event is being held on Sunday 17th September at Launceston's City Park. The 5km walk/run kicks off at 10am with plenty of activities available both prior to and after the race.
This year there is a great line up of activities:
8:30am Yoga – enjoy a gentle yoga stretch session
9am – 9:30am Dance Fit- enjoy combined fun, fitness and dance
9:30 – 9:45am Pre Warm Up – Join the group warm-up in preparation for the 5km journey
To reduce entry costs in 2017 participants will not be provided with a pink top. Please dress in pink to show your support.
Refreshments will be provided at approximately the 2km mark and finish line. At the end of the run/walk all competitors will receive free water and fruit. Spot prizes will be drawn on the day.
Following the women’s 5km, relax in the park and enjoy healthy refreshments, visit our prevention and support network and meet other allied health professionals. They will all be on hand to answer any questions about early detection and support services.
Bag minding will also be available for a $2 donation.
